5 – Support for road construction (1995)

(This is a part of a series of gleanings from the history of CRC’s 30 years of work; additional posts available here.)

In 1995, CRC supported construction of two short roads: a 1.2-mile, single-lane road in Wood Canyon; and a 0.5-mile road in Emigrant Canyon, both ending in small parking areas. In both cases, the realigned roads made the canyons accessible without crossing private land, yet did not penetrate any farther into the canyons than had previously been possible.

CRC supports road construction only when the need is compelling!
