Spring trail work in the Chiricahuas

The Chiricahua Regional Council is happy to welcome back the Chiricahua Wilderness Trail Crew.

John Sumner returns to Portal on the 28th of April to lead this cast of volunteers from various parts of the country. They will contribute a week of their time. Initially they will base out of Pine Canyon and work on the Rock Creek trail for several days. The second part of the week they will be  moving up to Rustler Park. Trails to be improved include Rock Creek, Rattlesnake, Bootlegger, Centella, Crest, and upper Greenhouse. Local support will come from the Portal-Rodeo Hiking Group for their Thursday activity at Rustler Park on Cinco de Mayo.

If you’d like to volunteer to do trail work with us, contact us at chiricahuaregionalcouncil at gmail dot com.
